About the Book
Western Progeny is a collection of .22 short
stories set in the southwest, mostly in the
1900's.
Some of the stories were revealed by desert
denizens; coyotes, horned toads, Gila
monsters, sidewinders, and others added to the
oeuvre.
Stories were also discerned from sand. Sand,
and its little brother Dust, blowing across
diminishing desert trails, and whispering...
In the plant kingdom, saguaro, creosote, peyote,
Russian Thistle (tumbleweed) and all the cacti
played a large part.
On another level, time travel, hallucinations, and
fevered states of disorientation also played a
role in some of the more obvious lies and
innuendos sown throughout the text.
